Conference Paper Archive: Submission Instructions

Thank you for presenting at the 39th International Conference on Coastal Engineering in Galveston, Texas in May 2026. Please follow the instructions below to format and submit your final paper.

Submitting a final conference paper to be historically archived is completely optional. If you choose not to submit a final conference paper, your extended abstract will be included in the archive as part of the proceedings; in that case, no further action is needed. Please do not send an email that you are or are not planning to submit a paper.

Submission Due Date

All final papers must be received by Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Submissions are welcome at any time prior to this deadline.

Please send a PDF of your final paper and either the original MS Word or LaTex2e text file via email to:

If the file size is unusually large (>25 Mb), please send it as a link.

Format Requirements & Notes

Final papers must adhere to the format requirements outlined in the formatting template:

  • Final papers must be a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum length of 15 pages. Typical length is 10 to 12 pages.
  • Primary author and title must match the primary author and title presented at the conference. Change of co-authors is at the discretion of the primary author.
  • The PDF version of your final paper will be used for the published proceedings. Your MS Word or LaTex2e text file will only be used to facilitate the entry of metadata such as names, emails, affiliations, abstract, keywords, and references for search engines, citations, etc.
  • After we receive your final paper, we will check that it conforms to the template, length, and authorship requirements and that we can access the MS Word or LaTex2e text file. You will typically receive confirmation within 4-5 days. Please note that submitted papers cannot be edited or peer-reviewed by our team.
  • Authors will not be required to complete a copyright agreement. The following text will accompany every abstract or paper: “Authors retain copyright and grant the proceedings right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this Proceedings.”
